Celebrate New Year 2013 with CCT!

Each CCT venue is used throughout the year for a variety of conferences, meetings, weekends away and short breaks. Whether you are coming in Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter - we offer something unique and special depending on the time of year.

A popular time to use a CCT venue is over the New Year period. Typically these slots have been booked several years in advance, although there is still some remaining availability at all CCT venues for groups large or small to celebrate the start of 2013.

We can tailor a package to suit your group with wine receptions and enhanced meals to supplement your conference programme. Why not contact us to get a quote for a possible event you could hold over New Year?

In addition, we would also be delighted to give you a complimentary tour of the venue of your choice. Simply contact us on 0300 111 4444 to arrange a time that suits.

5 star catering at all CCT venues

All three CCT venues hold officially awarded 5 star ratings for food hygiene. This is the highest rating available and is a well deserved accreditation for each venue to receive.

The Hayes serves almost 200,000 meals every year and will happily discuss how we can offer enhanced menus or special meals for your conference. Please contact hayes@cct.org.uk to discuss your requirements.

High Leigh has now completed significant upgrading of the kitchen, with increased food preparation space and improved facilities. This will now enable even greater choice and variety to be developed in our menus. Please contact highleigh@cct.org.uk to discuss further.

Belsey Bridge maintains an impressive reputation for the quality of the food offered, with fresh food sourced locally. The team will happily discuss your specific requirements - so simply contact belseybridge@cct.org.uk.

As the above shows, we take pride in the food we serve, recognising it as a key ingredient to making your conference a success.

Can you help with the Olympics?

CCT are pleased to be working in partnership with both More Than Gold and The Salvation Army this Summer. More Than Gold have exclusively booked the sole use of High Leigh for over 500 mission team members to use as their base for during the Olympics. David Willson, the Chief Executive of More Than Gold explains: “I know that High Leigh will be an oasis and blessing to the many people who will be coming from overseas to work with us. I am looking forward to partnering with High Leigh in this Olympic endeavour”.

Groups will be staying at High Leigh between 24th July and 13th August. During this time, CCT and The Salvation Army will be arranging accommodation and meals.

To assist the mission teams, we are also going to be providing a shuttle bus service to the local train station. Whilst nearly all the planning arrangements are in hand, we are looking to loan a further 3 minibuses for the duration.

Does your organisation have a minibus that may be available during the above dates? If so, we will happily cover any reasonable hire charges and/or mileage costs. If this is something you can partner with us on, please contact Grant Farrant on grant.farrant@cct.org.uk or 01992 463016.

With a New Year upon us, now is the time to book for 2012. There is a selection of availability still remaining at each Centre, and we are also taking provisional bookings for 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Belsey Bridge - En-suite developments

Throughout the past year work has been undertaken to refurbish a number of existing en-suite bedrooms.

Even more major work has also been undertaken to convert a number of standard bedrooms to en-suite rooms. This now means over half of the accommodation is en-suite, and further work will be undertaken in the year ahead to increase this number. The Centre is already proving very popular with a large number of groups and developments such as this are part of our commitment to improve the guest experience even further. Why not contact us and arrange a time to come and see the changes first hand?

Feed the Minds

Feed the Minds is a Christian charity that operates the Overseas Book Service, which supports lay and ordained church leaders in the developing world.

The Overseas Book Service provides church leaders with the knowledge they need to support and develop their communities on issues as diverse as children’s ministry, palliative care or food shortages.

Now, thanks to CCT, it is even easier to support their work. The next time you attend a CCT venue you can drop off your unused or unloved theological books for their hugely valuable Overseas Book Service.

It’s a tried and tested idea that works. Taking books that are no longer required in the UK, cataloguing them, and allowing religious colleges and seminaries to select the titles they need-free of charge. Of course there is a cost to the charity to send these much needed books overseas, so please do contact Feed the Minds on 020 7582 3535 or info@feedtheminds.org if this is something you can help with.

So next time you’re visiting a CCT venue, please leave your spare theological books at the main office, and support positive change in communities worldwide.

The latest addition to The Hayes Conference Centre is the brand new purpose built Butterley Hall. The new facility is already proving popular with groups, due to the flexibility it provides.

This modern Conference Hall is available as one large space, but can also be divided into two separate spaces with sound-proof dividers and a central corridor. This allows us to accommodate two conferences of 150 delegates on each side, or one large conference of up to 300 delegates using the entire space. As with our other Conference Halls, the space is equipped with audio-visual equipment and wireless internet that is available to use at no additional cost.

Aiming 4 Excellence in the Snow!

Despite the wintry weather outside, all three Centres have been open as usual and maintaining excellent levels of service throughout the past week - including a very warm welcome on arrival.

At The Hayes this week, over 300 leaders from Christian charities gathered for the hugely popular 'Aiming 4 Excellence' conference. With speakers including Sir Peter Vardy, Right Rev James Jones, Professor Jim Saker, Dame Suzi Leather, Rev Ian Coffey and Rosemary Conley, there was a unique balance of practical input and spiritual refreshment.

An added element of the conference, was Neil Perry, Chief Executive of the charity Romsey Mill. To raise money, Neil is spending the 30 nights before Christmas under canvas. This included his two nights at The Hayes in which he endured snow up to his knees and plummeting temperatures. To support this worthy cause, please go to Neil's Just Giving page.

From the warmth of your desk, why not also beat the New Year rush and get in touch now to book your conferences for 2011. We still have a selection of availability for next year and are also able to take bookings for 2012 and 2013. Why not go to www.cct.org.uk/quote to get a price for your event and to check availability.
