Despite the wintry weather outside, our centres have been open as usual and maintaining excellent levels of service throughout the past week - including a very warm welcome on arrival.
At The Hayes this week, over 300 leaders from Christian charities gathered for the hugely popular 'Aiming 4 Excellence' conference. With speakers including Sir Peter Vardy, Right Rev James Jones, Professor Jim Saker, Dame Suzi Leather, Rev Ian Coffey and Rosemary Conley, there was a unique balance of practical input and spiritual refreshment.
An added element of the conference, was Neil Perry, Chief Executive of the charity Romsey Mill. To raise money, Neil is spending the 30 nights before Christmas under canvas. This included his two nights at The Hayes in which he endured snow up to his knees and plummeting temperatures.
