Friends in Mission Bursary Scheme

Friends in Mission Bursary Scheme

At CCT, we try to support the groups and organisations that use our venues to the best of our abilities. As part of this support, we’re proud to be able to offer a number of bursaries that allow people to benefit from events at our centres. One of the funds available is the Friends in Mission Grant Scheme. The Friends in Mission Grant Scheme is directed at Christian charities, community, volunteer and church groups who, for financial reasons, are unable to make use of our conference centres. Designed to help these small organisations use our conference centres for respite, spiritual refreshment, training days, meetings and team building, the scheme is set to help a number of groups and individuals in the coming months.

What does the grant provide for?

The Friends in Mission Grant will provide up to 10 members of these types of organisation with three subsidised nights at a CCT venue. All that the organisations will need to pay for their members to attend is £10 per person per night. This includes all food and accommodation and makes holding an event a lot more affordable for groups and their members.

Who can apply?

In order to ensure our bursaries are going where they’re needed most, we use a few criteria to identify the groups that will truly benefit. The Friends in Mission Grant is available to Christian groups and organisations whose annual income is less than £50,000. Groups applying for the bursary must be reliant on grants or voluntary funding and be engaged in outreach work in an area that’s suffering from deprivation or poverty as defined by the Church Urban Fund, or they must be operating in an area of work that would generally be described as challenging.

When applying for the Friends in Mission Grant, organisations will need to demonstrate that there is a clear purpose for the event that’s being held at the CCT venue. We’ll need to see how the event will benefit the delegates attending and what difference it will make in the long term to the team and individuals concerned.
