Over the past few months, we have made a number of changes at our Derbyshire and Hertfordshire venues. This is a result of your helpful feedback. Here are seven things we’ve updated at our centres so far in 2023.
1. Our food
We have now introduced 3 different breakfast menus, served to complement lunch and dinner. We are also providing lighter lunches as requested. During your conference, you can trust that you'll be taken care of with wholesome, English food and friendly service.

2. Car charging at The Hayes
Over the last few years, we've seen many technological advancements to reduce CO2 emissions. One of these is electric cars. Therefore, to keep up with these changes we have installed 4 additional car charging points at The Hayes. More charging points are coming to High Leigh.
3. The prayer room at High Leigh
After many requests, we repurposed one of High Leigh’s older meeting rooms into a quiet place to pray. The prayer room is tucked out of the way and complete with Bibles and space to pray or reflect on what you've learnt.
4. The Chapel Barn's air-conditioning unit at High Leigh
The Chapel Barn at High Leigh, as a stand-alone building, can warm up during the summer months. We heard your feedback and have fitted a new air conditioning unit to keep you cool and comfortable during your meetings!
5. Keeping our planet clean with new soap
You asked us to do away with single-use plastic shampoo and soap bottles and we listened. We now have soap dispensers in all our bedrooms and public spaces to replace plastic shampoo and soap containers.
6. Hot drinks at the bar
We know how important coffee and tea are to our guests. If you'd like to keep the caffeine going well after dark, now you can! After popular demand, hot drinks are now available to purchase at The Hayes and High Leigh bars.
7. The games room at High Leigh
Sometimes we all need to let loose and have some fun! After many requests, Willow 1 (an old meeting room) has now been converted into a games room for the family complete with a ping pong table and board games.
