A new year stands before us and we couldn’t be more excited about all that is going to happen. As we are a not-for-profit organisation, all of our surplus revenue goes straight back into our centres. This means we have some exciting plans to share with you! So, here are 6 of our projects for 2024.
1. The Derbyshire Suite refurbishment at The Hayes
If you’ve visited The Hayes you will know The Derbyshire Suite well. It is ideal for large group meetings, training sessions, exhibitions and more. However, it is due for a refurbishment and is underway as we speak!

This refurbishment includes new carpet, a brand-new colour scheme and fresh paint in the Derbyshire Hall, foyer, Kinder Room and Rooms 1-8. We will also install new coffee machines in the foyer area.
2. The public restrooms renovation at High Leigh
High Leigh has seen many advancements over the years and now the public restrooms have had a top-to-bottom refurbishment. This includes new toilets, sinks, and wall, ceiling and floor vinyl. New lighting has also been installed along with fresh décor.
These changes were made just in time for 2024 so you’ll see the renovations on your next visit!
3. The Hayes’ orchard
As you walk up to the Chapel or The Derbyshire suite, you’ll see the grass area. There was once a play area here but we have new plans for it.
This year, The Hayes’ gardener will plant an orchard here along with some other landscaping ideas and new seating. What is now an empty grass field will soon be a beautiful area to spend time reflecting, fellowshipping, or drinking coffee on a mild spring morning.
4. The Willow Hall carpet at High Leigh
If you’ve met in the Willow Hall before, you know how beautiful it is. With its floor-to-ceiling windows, this room is bright and airy. We have plans to lay down a brand-new carpet which will complement and modernize the room.
5. New seating in the Vinery at The Hayes
The Vinery is a beautiful bright room at The Hayes, adjacent to the bar. With its many windows, you can sit here enjoying the morning sun or listen to the pattering of rain on a wet day.
We are upgrading the seating to improve the comfort and aesthetics of the room.
6. The Cherry bathrooms at High Leigh
As you can tell by now, upgrading our centres is very important to us. That is why we are refurbishing the Cherry bedroom bathrooms.

This modernized renovation includes new vinyl for the walls, ceilings and floors, and new lighting. This project will be completed in February 2024.
