Holding your space early

January 2026

Most groups come to us with a particular weekend or midweek date for their annual event. Maybe it’s the first weekend back after Christmas, the October half-term, or the week you set aside each year for leadership training. These dates are important because they have become part of your rhythm, your planning, and the life of your community.

Over the past few years we’ve seen demand for our venues grow. More churches, ministries and Christian organisations are recognising the value of stepping away together to pray, reflect and focus on what God is doing in their midst. As a result, weekends and popular midweek dates get booked up quickly at each of our centres, The Hayes, High Leigh and Highgate House.

If you’ve been coming back year after year, or if you’re planning to launch something new, we want to make sure you don’t lose the dates that matter most to you. That’s why we offer a simple way to hold your space well in advance.

What holding a date means for you

We want you to be confident that your preferred dates are secured long before your group starts planning logistics or promoting the event. To make that easy:

  • You can reserve your chosen date a year ahead of your event date.
  • Rather than asking for a 20% deposit at the time of booking, we simply ask for a £1000 holding fee.
  • Around 12 months before your event, we’ll send you a full contract and you pay the balance of your deposit.
  • Once that’s completed, the dates are yours and you can plan with peace of mind.

This approach gives you first certainty while giving us clarity about demand so we can serve everyone well.

Don’t wait until the last minute

Too often groups wait until after one event finishes before thinking about the next year’s dates. With popular weekends and midweeks filling fast, that can mean your preferred slot is no longer available.

By holding your space today, you:

  • Make sure your group has the timing you want.
  • Give your planning team something secure to build around.
  • Avoid the stress of competing with other organisations for the same period.

If your event has become a key date in your annual calendar, let’s secure it before someone else takes it.
