Highgate House is fully equipped with large meeting rooms and places to dine. But at the end of a busy conference day, having the right space to pause, chat, and recharge makes all the difference.
Whether you're looking for a quiet corner between sessions, or somewhere to catch-up with a friend over coffee, here are 4 favourite places to relax at Highgate House.
Sometimes the best kind of break is a simple one: a hot drink, a comfortable seat, and a bit of sunlight.
In the Coffee Lounge you can help yourself to tea, hot chocolate, and a range of Paddy & Scott’s coffee all day long. With a conservatory area, you can enjoy sunlight beaming through while you sip your drink, and there are also relaxing sofas for a quieter pause in your day.

If you love a venue with character, the Baronial Hall is a standout. This magnificent room is panelled with Elizabethan wooden panelling and has a warm, traditional feel.
A large window lets in lots of light, and the large open fireplace adds a homely touch. With comfortable seating and cosy lighting, it is ideal for relaxed conversation, reading, or stepping away from the busier areas of the venue.

The Bar Lounge is a brilliant place to pause between sessions, or to wind down with others once the day is done. The lounge features a licenced bar stocking a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, along with snacks.
With relaxing sofas and an open fireplace, it is an easy space to settle into, whether you are chatting with friends, meeting new people, or just enjoying a quiet moment before your next session.

We are delighted to have completed a brand-new stretch tent area at Highgate House, offering guests a fresh outdoor space to enjoy.
Situated just outside the Coffee Lounge and Aspen Hall, this covered area gives you a comfortable place to relax between sessions, catch up with others, or simply take in the peaceful views across the Northamptonshire countryside. Equipped with a firepit, it is the ultimate summer hang out space.

When you are planning a residential conference, it is not just about the main programme. Having dedicated places to relax helps delegates stay energised and creates natural opportunities for connection and conversation throughout the event.

At Highgate House, these spaces are part of what makes the delegate experience feel welcoming and well paced, from the first coffee of the day to the last chat by the firepit.
