Spring 2010 - Latest News

March 2010

The Hayes - Crockery, Carpets, Chairs and Conversions!

In addition to major developments (such as the recent new Reception and extension to the Garden Hall), we are also committed to ensuring we continually update and renew our equipment and facilities. In the last couple of months this has included 3,000 items of new crockery, 650m2 of new carpet in the Haddon Dining Room, 350 new chairs in the Chapel, 7 refurbished standard bedrooms and 2 new en-suite bedrooms. Driving these changes is our dedication to ensuring our facilities and service are not only being maintained, but are constantly improved. Part of this process is carefully listening to feedback from our users – including comment cards in every bedroom and an online form for conference organisers to complete after their event. This feedback ensures that our development is grounded in, and will exceed, your expectations.

High Leigh – New Games Room and Lounge Area

The addition of Cherry Wing at High Leigh, providing 42 new en-suite bedrooms, has enabled the Centre to remove 22 standard bedrooms from the first floor of the Main House. This area has now been completely redeveloped, providing a large Games Room (equipped with table tennis, air hockey, table football and exercise equipment) and an additional Lounge Area (equipped with wireless internet, two computer terminals and a large flat screen digital television). This facility is already proving very popular with groups and provides a place either to relax, or to expel some energy! Combined with 40 acres of lawns, parkland and woodland, the Centre provides a range of options to explore in your leisure time (including a new fitness trail). For those wanting to venture beyond High Leigh, there is also a vast array of local attractions to suit everyone’s tastes.

Belsey Bridge – Complimentary Audio-Visual and Wireless Internet

Belsey Bridge has three large meeting rooms that all seat 100 delegates, as well as seven smaller meeting rooms and several additional areas for small group work. New audio-visual equipment worth over £30,000 has now been installed in all the larger meeting rooms and wireless internet has been installed across the Centre. No additional hire charges are made for use of these facilities. This means that all the large meeting rooms now have data projectors installed with PC inputs and DVD playback. In addition to the data projectors, we have integral sound equipment with cordless microphones, CD recorders and induction loops available for your use at no extra cost. In the other meeting rooms we can provide data projectors, flipcharts, OHPs and televisions with VCR/DVD players for your use, free of charge.
