Trustees

Michael PageMichael Page
Chair

"My first involvement with CCT was around 40 years ago when I attended a conference at The Hayes. I organised a conference at The Hayes about 18 years ago and went on to do several more.

"I firmly and passionately believe in the value of people gathering together to learn from and share with one another. For this reason, I stood as a CCT trustee in 2005, and was elected chair in 2009.

"My professional background is in corporate communications and marketing, employed as senior manager or director in commercial, public and not-for-profit sectors. I am particularly interested in organisational development and have seen my role as being a 'challenging friend' to the CEO and a player in the shaping of the vision for the future of CCT".

Peter BrierleyPeter Brierley

"I’m glad to have had the opportunity in my working life (including the running of two Christian research charities) of asking both High Leigh and The Hayes to help with literally dozens and dozens of conferences, both large and small.  So I know well their warm encouragement, active advice in the best arrangements, as well as the efficient administration that lies behind their work.

"Being a Trustee of other Christian agencies has also meant attending these Centres as a guest, and experiencing CCT’s hospitality at first hand.  My very first exposure of The Hayes was way back in 1959, as a student, at an OMF conference and my first speaking responsibility was at an EMA conference at High Leigh in 1970 (using a slide projector!).  Over the decades my confidence in CCT’s remarkable ministry has never waned."

David EvansDavid Evans

In his professional role, David is a Chartered Accountant. Having, for many years, been a partner in a “Top 10” Accountancy firm, and for 10 years its UK Managing Partner, David retired four years ago, and now works as a (usually non-executive) director or consultant for several entrepreneurial businesses. David also has a number of trustee and other charitable appointments.

David is married to Jeannette; they have four children, and seven grandchildren. David is an active member of his local Baptist Church.

Melanie FinchMelanie Finch

"I was first co-opted as a CCT trustee about seven years ago, then elected to the Board a year later. I have worked on the CCT sales and marketing sub-committee and the HR sub-committee during my time on the Board.

One of the developments which has been significant over the past few years has been to bring CCT more in line with current hotel standards, both in quality of the accommodation offered and also the catering. Developing new systems and operations, as well as training of the staff, have improved the experience guests now have, but there is still work to be done."

Dionne GravesandeDionne Gravesande

Dionne has a career in community and social action, since 2001 she has worked with Christian Aid in various senior roles. Dionne is now the Corporate Lead on Ecumenical Relations.  She is a member of the New Testament Church of God and served as a Director of Youth and Christian Education, in this role Dionne also served on their National Board of Youth and Christian Education until 2014.

Dionne brings experience of a wide range of local and global development issues, especially where these concern the mission of the Church. She strongly believes that the Church has an important God-given role in the public square, as well as making the good news of the Gospel known in effective and practical ways.

In both the professional and personal parts of her life Dionne has contributed to and participated in community initiatives to build collaborative partnerships.
